"Mud Boots"

On one of my market days, I happened to find this pair of
well used rubber boots. I wanted to create a strong and bold
design on this one. I found a certain kind of beauty in the
simplicity of their shape and contrast to the sidewalk.

"Just Being a Boy"

While I was painting this old pair of shoes I found myself
having visions of my dad helping his father on an old wagon
delivering ice, running around getting into mischief and just
being a boy. I guess that's why I love old things,
I think they say a lot.
