"Jukebox Lunch"
oil on canvas - 10"x10"
figurative
"Two men caught in a lunchtime conversation at a local cafe.
I love the old buildings in this area. I thought it was an
interesting contrast of the dark cozy setting inside and the
reflections of the bright city street in the window."

"Big Moment"
oil on canvas - 6"x6"
art museum series
"I just happened to catch one of those first time events, as my
neighbor's child managed to take off for the very first time on
his bicycle. He had attempted many times but this time, with a
helping hand from his mom, he was finally able to go on his own.
It brought back memories of my very first time. I think it is
probably one of those things that we never forget. "

"Glass Insulator"
oil on masonite - 4"x6"
still life antique
"Today I decided on an old electrical insulator. I found this
in the basement of my old studio building that was over 100
years old. I am sure it must have come from one of the old
poles on the street. I love how the light reflects through
the old blue glass and show its imperfections."

"Antique Oil Can"
oil on masonite - 4"x6"
still life antique
"This is a little old Maytag Oil Can, made in Newton, Iowa that I
found in my mom and dads old shed a few years ago. I am sure dad
never thought of it as an antique collectible, it was just one of
his old oil cans that he knew he would use for something, someday.
He would of thought it funny that I would do a painting of it."

"Old Spool of Thread"
oil on masonite - 4"x5"
still life antique object
"Just one of the old spools of thread passed
down from my mom. The wooden spools are
so neat... I wish they still made them. I should
throw them out as the thread is probably too
old to use, but I keep them anyway."
