symbolized by the golden egg.

She wears a bird beak mask that can be removed. (Pics show with & without mask)
The neck is an old printers letter B
Pine cone seeds cover sides of antique box to resemble feathers
Antique box (body) lined w/musical cloth, nest and 2 bird eggs
Grape twigs for plummage
sculpted head, hands, and eggs, walnut twigs for arms & crab claws for legs
Hangs on the wall, signed on back.

All sculpted parts are delicately painted and sealed with matte varnish.

objects that I found while metal detecting. Old bits and bobs that
have been in the ground for many years. Recycling the past!

"Views of Man" - SOLDoil on canvas - 6"x8"
Man & sculpture @ Art Museum. I really enjoyed this one and thought about naming this: The shape of things to come. I was working with the play of light and shadows in this one plus keeping it in neutral tones with just a hint of color.
