"Tweedle Twins"

Appletree Hollow Series

Written under this image in the Appletree Hollow album, was the date of 1827 with the title: Dee & Dum - the Tweedle Twins. They were identical twins who, as far as I can tell, never contradicted each other. Rather, they complimented each other in every way so completely that they became very famous, eventually owning a chain of clothing stores – “The Tweedle Brothers” finest in tailored wool clothing for big men.

I love this little guy. He came to me from England. A brown & white
teddy was hard for me to find. I named him Frank because
he has a certain look that reminds me of my dad.

Mildred or Millie for short, is a small gal that stands about
10"tall. She has worn leather pads. Most of her hair has been loved
away but she doesn't seem to mind.

"Barney"

This is Barney. He was rescued from a skip (dumpster)in England.
One of my sweetest little fellows. He was a bit of a mess but
recently went to the doctor for a cleaning. He still has some
dark spots and a bit of a wobbly head but I think it adds to his character.

Hi there!
This is a little war time bear named Tillie. Although she
is a bit scruffy and has one ear that is a mess she has the
most wonderful sense of humor. I enjoy her so much because
every time I look at her,she makes me smile.

"Sneezle"

This is #4 in my limited edition of Teddy Bear Portraits.
He is one of my Mohair bears with soft leather pads and
glass bead eyes. I call him "little Sneezle" because he
is only 5.5" tall. He loves to sit on the window sill
and watch the birds.

This is a one of a kind portrait of Clarence. He has button eyes,
a few stitches showing and a tattered paw but he has a cute smile
and is an extremely curious little fellow that loves to sit by
the window sometimes!

"Old Teddy"

The painting today is my old childhood friend. His stitches
are showing, he is bare in spots and even one eye is missing
but he still has a loving personality.
