"Above Tradition"

On a beautiful blue sky day, I found this young guy standing
on the roof of one of the oldest White Castles around my area.
White Castle has been around so long now that I think one could
call it an American tradition.

"The Eyes Have It"

"I did this one larger, 8x8", to be able to develop the painting
a bit more.
This is a mural on a building in our art district they call the
Short North. It is obviously a quirky take of the famous
"American Gothic". I used to have a gallery just across the
street from this building. I thought it would be fun to use it
for a different idea."

"Red, White & Blue"

"The other day, around lunchtime, I noticed this young man who
worked in the red & white (a fast food place)standing outside
taking a break. The place seemed almost deserted except for him.
It was a painting waiting to happen. The stark red & white building,
a beautiful blue sky with one dark figure in a red hat."

"For Rent"

"Today's piece is one of many scenes I see every day on the
street near the Ohio State Campus. I am sure you have you
noticed that nearly everyone you see walking are also talking
on their cell phones. It has become such a part of everyday
life that it is almost rare to see someone without it. "

"Not far away is an abandoned building. It's a huge old
place that,once upon a time, must have been amazing. I find
a lot of hidden treasures in what remains, like the shadows
that play on the wood and stone."

Bicycle Series

"Could almost call this Red, White & Blue. Another for my bicycle series.
I live north of the Ohio State campus which is filled with students.

I am always able to find great subject matter there. Yesterday I found
