"Antique Gem Bottle"

"I was thinking about my dad and decided to do this painting.
He and his 2 brothers owned the Gem Bottling Company in
Wellston, Ohio for 61 years. This is one of the earliest
glass molded bottles, only 9" tall."

"This was one of my mom's old metal thimbles. Stamped Austria
on the back. She used to make a lot of my clothes when I was
a kid. She taught me how to sew, ALWAYS using a thimble!"

"Just one of the old spools of thread passed
down from my mom. The wooden spools are
so neat... I wish they still made them. I should
throw them out as the thread is probably too
old to use, but I keep them anyway."

"This is a rare old antique doll from my family.
I love dolls and make my own Art Dolls. This gal has a
lot of sentimental value and has been loved by many.
I couldn't part with her so I thought I would
do this painting to capture her personality."

"Old Coffee Pot"

"This was my grandmas old coffee pot. Certainly isn't
one of the fancy expensive ones. It has its share of dents
but I remember thinking I was really a grown up when
I got my first cup of coffee from this ol' pot !"

"I have had this old pulley for many years. I use to
live on a farm and found this in the barn. That was in
the 60's. I don't know why I have kept it for so long,
I guess I just like looking at it."
