"Pickled"
oil on 1.5" deep canvas - 6"x12" - sold
LET'S GET PICKLED!
My mom use to love pickled foods. I remember that she use to
make her own canned pickles, tomatoes and some jams & jellies.
Of course, today, most people just buy them at the grocery but
they never taste the same as mom's!

"Springtime Daffodiles"
oil on 1.5" deep canvas - 6"x12"
I am really enjoying some of these new and different sizes of
canvas. They fill those small spaces on the wall and inspire new
ideas, like doing a painting of my favorite flowers in a tall glass vase.
One of our first signs of spring. I am always so happy to see them in
full bloom but also get a bit sad because they leave so quickly.

"Clothes Dryer"
oil on deep canvas - 6"x8"
Years go by and some things do become, more or less, obsolete.
My grandma always used these as her clothes dryer but today
its rare to even find these original round wooden objects.
I look at them and think about the person that came up with
this amazing little item. They really are unique in their design
and were certainly used by the millions!

"Complimentary Flowers"
oil on 1.5 " deep canvas - 6"x6"
I thought I would start off your week with some cheerful color.
A great study in complimentary colors. In the art world, these colors,
when placed next to each other, make each other appear brighter.
The use of complementary colors is an important aspect of
aesthetically pleasing art. So, I hope this one pleases YOU! :)

After months of grey winter, I have certainly been

I am looking forward to seeing these beauties popping up outside.
Besides, it has been such a very long time since I painted flowers that
I forgot how fun they are! Hope you are enjoying them too!

"Tools of the Trade"
oil on 1.5" deep canvas
9"x12"
After painting for over 40 years, I have purchased more
of these than I would ever like to think about. I still
have some brushes that are at least 20+ years that have
become old friends.
I can always seem to find a use for them, even when they
are worn out. I get very attached to them and unless
they are completely fallen into pieces, which is rare,
I never seem to throw them out.
